There are a number of local and national support services that you can contact if you are worried about stalking. 

National Stalking Helpline from the Suzy Lamplight Trust provides support and advice to people who are experiencing stalking.

Call 0808 802 0300. The helpline is open 09:30-20:00 Monday and Wednesday, and 09:30-16:00 Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. The helpline is not open on weekends or bank holidays. 

Action Against Stalking offers a Throughcare Stalking Support Service, which provides access to important resources and targeted support. 

Call the Stalking Helpline on 0800 820 2427 (this is a voicemail service and you will be offered the chance to leave a message and the Throughcare Support Team will call you back). Alternatively, you can email Support@actionagainststalking.org or complete the self-referral contact form.

FollowIt App allows those experiencing stalking to keep a record of what is happening to them. The app can be used regardless of whether or not you decide to report to the police.

StrutSafe is a free, volunteer-operated and non-judgemental support line based in Edinburgh. If you’re walking alone, their volunteers will be a friendly voice to keep you company and help you feel safe until you are through the door. 

Call 033 335 0026. The helpline is available 19:00-03:00 Friday and Saturday, and 19:00-01:00 on Sunday. Surviving Stalking is a blog written by Tracey Morgan, a victim of stalking, who writes advice blogs for people who are being stalked or who think they are being stalked, or people who may know someone being stalked. 

Victim Support Scotland provides free and confidential help to victims of crime, their family, friends and anyone else affected. They give information, and emotional and practical support.

Call 0800 160 1985. The helpline is open 08:00-20:00 Monday to Friday, and 09:00-01:00 on Saturday. You can also contact them via their webchat service, or by completing the online Self-Referral form.

Samaritans provide a completely confidential helpline for anyone who is worried or feeling troubled. They are there to listen to any worries or problems you’re facing and talk you through your experiences. You don’t have to be suicidal to use the service.

Call 116 123 or email jo@samaritans.org. The helpline is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Breathing Space is for people feeling overwhelmed or troubled by their thoughts and feelings to talk about what they’re experiencing. They are there to listen to you, and can offer relevant information and advice.

Call 0800 83 85 87. The helpline is open 18:00-02:00 Monday to Thursday, and 18:00-06:00 Friday to Monday.

There are two ways you can tell us what happened
