The University does not underestimate the impact that allegations of inappropriate behaviour have on students and staff. If you believe that you have wellbeing issues, we would strongly encourage you to contact our Student Wellbeing Services or Staff Recourses for advice and support.

Under the University’s Complaints Handling Procedures, any submission of, or acknowledgement of, a report does not mean that the University Complaints Office is accepting (or presuming) the allegation(s) made are accurate, have been substantiated or have merit. However, the report (and the matters therein) will be investigated under the appropriate University procedures.

All those involved in a complaint will be treated fairly and consistently, and the University has a duty of care to both those reporting an issue (if a member of staff or student) and those to who the report has been made against.
